not entirely sure but i think thats a drain and the x pattern is caused by bracing so it don't get too destroyed....

One place to look for motors, housings, tracks and etc. would be in one of those cheep construction cranes or fire engine with the tethered control. I'm sure KB toys or Toysr'us has them and there is always evilbay.One could use R/C for the propulsion and the original electronics......

I was hoping someone had Lgb 2017 block running around and could give me the dimensions of the motor block, wheel center to end of block, center to center and how far from wheel end of steam chest to rear wheel center. If i knew how to make that a picture I would. Any help is appreciated.

Daylight Passanger (Black, Red, Orange and Silver)

If you want to replicate OEM just open the A unit and use it as a guide to make your own wiring harness. I think there might be a way to run just threw the blocks with no wiring to the body at all too....

Has anyone tried a heating element or even a squeegee slung under the car? Or one could build this
Not all that hard, an angled tip off a shopvac, the guts out of a sacrificial hairdryer, chain or gear drive and all the weight available... ...
