I could hear 'em but never see em. So, today while laying track i took a break by the pond. After sitting still and quiet for awhile they surfaced. There are 4 of them in the picture. Use the one sitting out on the rock as center, then look at 3 o' clock between the 2 fronds of the plant j...... 31 Aug 2010 04:46 PM Public Forum |

SUCCESS!!!! I started two days ago putting track down. this afternoon I completed it and ran my first loco to see how it would work. Other than 1 dirty switch it went through flawlessly!! Here's some pictures of the track work. I still have a ton of fill (literally) to put in but the main is up and ...... 31 Aug 2010 04:33 PM Track, Trestles, Bridges and Roadbed |

Greg, the Tech said cv218 was a longshot but to check it. he had to look it up to see what the value should be. He said what it did but i cannot remember and i'm sorry but I don't have the manual. cv12 was to turn on analog chuff, i forgot to type that all in.... 28 Aug 2010 09:02 AM DCC in Large Scale |

CV 8 was 141 or soundtraxx. I got on the horn w/ them and they gave me a few pointers to check namely that CV 12=1 CV 29=6 and CV 218=20. All was already setup as suggested so I went for the factory reset. Since the loco will be used on DC power I wasn't too worried about losing any changes made to ...... 26 Aug 2010 05:12 PM DCC in Large Scale |

Funny, when you have a programmer people think you know what you're doing. I do not have the manual for it. i couldn't tell you if I used pulse widt...... 26 Aug 2010 11:06 AM DCC in Large Scale |

I have a Bachmann 3 Truck Shay with Bachmann's DCC onboard sound. When on DCC the loco works fine although it's very quiet. When put on standard DC power the loco sound will only idle (ie: sit and run the air pump and blow off steam) it will not chuff. Shouldn't the loco's sound run on bot...... 25 Aug 2010 04:57 PM DCC in Large Scale |

My friend has the non-dial version and i have used it. It is light but holds up to bending brass and aluminum track just fine I cannot comment on stainless. I would agree the push handle on the Train li, which i own, is easier to use. But, the roughly $50 savings in cost and 'possible' savings in sh...... 25 Aug 2010 04:46 PM Product Reviews |
