This 80 page PDF document (over 60 pictures) discusses the creation of outdoor garden railroad layout scenery using a papier-mâché like methodology that utilizes burlap strips soaked in a type of cement called “plastic cement” over a ridged framework (either pressure treated lumber or rebar, covered with chicken wire or hardware cloth). This technique is simple, the materials are cheap, and you can work on it over long periods of time (as you have time available).

Tj
Great idea on the covering of the drain pipe from the AC, do not ever under estimate your abilities, when you really want something and won't except I can't do it, it is amazing what you can accomplish.
Your mountains are really awsome, I myself build mountains out of cement, I have one mountain 5' tall 14 feet long 6ft wide at base with two tunnels going through the length of it. The other mountain is over 8 ft tall with a 6ft water fall, 12 ft river. I have smaller mountains where I poured cement over mounds of dirt, I have tried several different techniques, with different results, with each having their strong points.
So keep up the good work , and promoting a wonderful hobby.
Dennis

Added some pics of the now completed Cliffs to the end of the PDF. Did not change the Rev date so the link will continue to work. - TJ
