| One I've heard, but never wished to put to the test | |

| It's amazing what can happen unexpectantly. Every once in awhile someone out here is severely burned by tossing kerosene on an already burning brush pile. If not done deftly the fire can leap the stream right up to the can and "poof"!!!
I think the electrocution from urinating on a third rail is worse though considering the part of the anatomy that becomes a lightning rod. hehe! | |

| | The one thing mythbusters always leaves out of their equation is "dumb luck" or bad luck. Freak accidents and happenings are just that and cannot be reproduced via science or anything else. | | Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. -Ben Franklin There cannot be good living where there is not good drinking. -Ben Franklin I feel sorry for people who don't drink. | Please explain, "Myth -Confirmed"...
Does it mean that something that was considered to be untrue (a myth) has been proven to have no basis in reality and is thus still a "Myth".
Or had it been changed from "Myth" to "Fact"?

| Well, apply this to fences and you have the basis of a commercial for Nokian Tires:

...and one of the funnier bits ever on Ren and Stimpy, but those get pulled off of YouTube.

On the Mythbusters show, they have three catagories a myth can fall into when they are done testing it:
Confirmed - the myth is true, as the myth is stated. myth being tested: "A bullet can be shot into the empty chamber of another revolver." Myth confirmed = yes, its true.
Plausable - not enough data to be certain..its possible, or likely, but cant prove it.
Busted - myth is NOT true as stated. myth = "The vortex from a passing train can suck a person onto the tracks." myth busted = after testing, the myth is not true.

| | Most myths are false, but truth or falsehood doesn't disqualify a story as a myth. | |
