I have tried three times now to renew my membership.

It will not accept my Visa Card.  It tells me to use another credit card.

Visa is the only credit card I own.

I guess i will not be renewing for the next year.  My membership expires on the 26th of this month.

If any of you moderators can explain why it will not allow me to use my Visa card for renewal, I will reconsider and re-up for another year.

Since you have stated that you're attempting to use a credit card to renew your MLS 1st Class membership, I have to assume that you clicked the PayPal link to do so.

Once you are on the PayPal web site you are totally under their control and not MLS', could it be that since you last used PayPal that you've received a new credit card since your old one was coming up to expiration. If so that may be your problem, PayPal has the information on the old card which as far as the computer check can determine is no longer valid. You might wast to check your PayPal account information and compare it to your current card and update it if required.

John,

A couple of months back, when I went to renew,  the date on my card with PayPal had expired.  Although I was using the same card, I had to go to my PayPal Account and update the good through date.  Then back to MLS and the renewal went through.

Is there a way on the site to see when you're slated to expire? Like Richard I send a check but you never know if Shad got it or what the status is.

Best,

This may be my last post.

I don't even know what PayPal is.

I have always used a credit card before -- no problem.  I have had this card for 20 years.

I guess I will send a check.

John...Paypal is an escrow service. It's at www.paypal.com . You go there...register...give them bank info and credit card info...and you use it to pay bills electronically. It works. It's not hard. Been using it for years.

I'd forgotten that I left $40 in my paypal. I don't even remember what I sold. Paypal didn't forget, so I sent it to Shad for his leapyear special.

Chicago Marathon You don't have to train or run, I'm taking care of that for you.
