Pacific Coast Garden Railway Supply, 12081 Pradera Road, Camarillo CA 93012, has announced the availability of a 1:20.3 scale reproduction of the Jacks Cabin, CO 9,600 gallon D&RG single spout water tank! The model 0840 water tank is another addition to PCGRS’s lineup of Rio Grande structures and is the smallest tank that the Rio Grande used, making it the perfect size and price for most garden railroads! It is constructed of quarter inch thick interlocking redwood tub staves and features brass hoops with cast turnbuckle details. The tank is supported by redwood bents and a fully enclosed frost box that sets on a PVC base to protect it from ground moisture. The crush proof octagon roof can be obtained with either tar paper roofing or cedar shingles. The spout is hand built from brass and is properly counterweighted for use in any position. The water tank is available in a variety of standard and custom colors. See web site for price and availability. Web site: www.pcgrs.com This tank and our other fine structures can be viewed in person at the National Garden Railway Convention in Chandler, AZ, and at The Big Train Show in Ontario, CA! Customers that would like a modification of the Jacks Cabin tank to model the Villa Grove, CO tank, are encouraged to contact us to discuss the details and possibilities. A careful review of the current order form will also show that this should be quite an interesting year for 1:20.3 structures!!! |
