I went back and cross-checked what I had stated earlier regarding FireFox, because it isn't my primary browser and I was going from memory. Thus I must stand corrected, because if the Remember Password parameter is set and there is no entry in FireFox for the specific URL you are trying to access via a login, after you enter the User ID and Password and click the Login button FireFox does prompt the user. The prompt provides three options Remember, Never For This Site, and Not Now, sorry for the misinformation.

No problem... I used FireFox for about a month not too long ago and I liked some of its features but found that a few of the web sites that "I" visit didn't seem to work right when using it (that IE didn't have problems with) so I gave up on it. But the ability to edit the ID/Password lists is a nice feature and makes me wish I could use it (not that IE doesn't have that feature, I just haven't found a way to do so).

I don't like switching back and forth between two "similar" programs... I get really stuck in my ways of "clicking over there" to do some function and "down here" for another... changing horses often is too much pain for me. I like consistancy when I use my computer and there are already too many things that are inconsistant in it.

But this is not helping Tom with his problem. I am intrugued by what he says is happening. Seems like there may be a hiccup in some cross link in a database on the server such that he is marked in one place as being a 1st class member and in another he is just a known member. Compound that with his system listing multiple IDs and it makes for a mess. I wonder if the most expedient fix would be to search for all occurances of his ID and remove them and start over... the "Systems Analyst" in me wants to find the error to understand and "fix" it rather than use a blanket cure, but that might take a long time to do and require tools that may be unavailable to the moderators (or even to Shad as the owner/administrator).

I'm starting to think you may be on the right track - the plot thinkens here a bit.
I tried a completely different approach this evening - logging in with the "Safari" browser on my brand-new iPhone 3G!:w00t: (In fact, the pictures I had planned to post was a "special delivery" of the iPhone 3G by rail!). Unfortunately, the results were the same.:crying: I've also tried using my network PC at work (again, using Firefox). That's why I feel the problem is NOT in my computer.:whistling: I have to do password resets typically every couple of months at work (for security reasons), even if I forget one completely & have to contact the IT dept., it's generally NOT "rocket science" to get one reset. Anyone else had this problem??? Tom Lapointe
