I put the finishing touches on my Mason Bogie cab from Bronson Tate yesterday and started on the pilot. Picture of the pilot to follow shortly.

Very nice job on that cab. I'm glad to see another Bogie in the works. Good luck with it and keep posting.

Hi Fingers,

That is a nice job you have made of the cab; congratulations, and I echo Placita Steams comments re another mason being built

There may need to be some minor adjustments of the slot for the reversing rod and possibly the slot that will be hidden by the firebox at the bottom of the cab front if I remember correctly.

Are you adding the mock iron sheet on the front, and its twin on the inside?

Thanks for the good photos, I look forward to some more , if you need any help please ask.

I added some extra trim around the windows and bottom panels, the photos in the Mason locomotives book shows it quite well. Don't add the bolts though the held the front/back to the sides as they will get in the way of the decals - that is from experience.

Looking really really good Tim, Cab is a work of art. Chassis is coming together nicely.

Keep it up,
David.

I will echo these others. It is time for another Mason Bogie. Your cab is super, so I am sure the rest of the model will follow. Keep the photos coming please. Thanks,

One thing I did on that chassis was to countersink all the screw holes and use flat head screws. It made more room for the crank pin retaining nuts on the back of the of the wheels. Depending on what you are using for wheels and crank pins, that may not matter. Glad to see you are making progress.
