I'm considering a computer system that would be capable of creating "simulated" rivets in thin brass or styrenne.   So these are not real rivets but more like dimples that you see on G scale models.

The system could handle up to 18"x24" sheets.  I was thinking it would work like this:

- To use the service mail in your brass sheet or styreene plus another small piece of the same thickness.  The extra piece is so I can guage the rivet size to your specs on your material.
- Specify rivet:
    -width
    -depth
    - spacing (center-to-center)
    -scale you want - 1:29, 1:20.3, etc.
    - starting position from the top corner - e.g. x and y starting position on the sheet is 0.333" (x) and 0.25" (y).
- Turnaround would be pretty quick since this is computer generated

I was needing a system like this but can't justify the cost for my projects.  But I thought if others are interested in a service like this then that could help pay for the system.

If you are interested in something like this then what do you think would be a fair price?  Based on linear inches?  Circles (e.g. a smokebox) are generally more complicatd than rectangles? Number of rivets?  Flat price per sheet? Other ways?
