| Dwight, after reading the thread about forum discussions (???) seemingly down lately, I have decided to do my part to stimulate some lively discussion around here.
What's new with your shirt project? Will I actually get to wear one before Accucraft finally delivers my 4-4-0? Should I get one for each engine I own? What is the best detergent to remove cylinder oil, or will cylinder oil spots enhance the shirt's collector value?
Slow day around here.

| I have found no detergent that will remove steam oil spots. They do not, in my opinion, enhance the shirt's collector value, but they do enhance the wearer's reputation. | |

What's new with your shirt project?
We've finalized the artwork and I picked out some shirts and got some quotes. Shirts will be Navy (dark) Blue with white SA logo and lettering.
I was going to post and ask a question about cost. The shirts I picked out (one with a pocket and one without) are premium quality shirts. Here's the description...
7 oz., 100% softcombed, ringspun cotton pique polo. features no shrink, no fade fabric, a no curl collar, top-stitched shoulders, armholes and cuffs, and dyed-to-match neck and side vent twill tape. Clean finished placket with reinforced box and three pearl buttons. Five-point left chest pocket. Side-seamed with even finished vents. Set in sleeves and rib sleeve finish.
They are good heavy material and good stitching and should last a long time. Problem is, high quality always costs a little more, and we'd be looking somewhere in the neighborhood of $30-35/shirt plus shipping.
Offering more than one type of shirt (premium quality and less expensive) is out of the question since it's already somewhat of a logistical nightmare (pocket/no pocket, name & SA#/no name & no SA#).
While I'm fine with that price (I believe in getting what I pay for), is that too much for everyone? Should I pick out a lower quality, less expensive shirt? | |

| I favor one that will last, more time to collect oil spots.

| Im not really interested in T shirts or golf shirts as I have a vast collection of them and it too would probably get lost somewhere in the closet or ????? however I am very interested in a name tag with a MLS logo, with user name and real name on it, because when I go to the Big Train Show in Ontario Ca I would like to have it on so that I can be recognized as a Member of MLS and maybe run into some of the Great Folks here in this forum and chat. Any Ideas as to where I may obtain this? Thank you | | Ben.. californian by birth, TEXAN BY CHOICE!! Proud Member of SAGRES | |
