The handcar is Lionel from 1991, the car with goofy shovelling coal was some odd piece of junk I found at a yard sale cut off the old bottom and then mounted on a shorty LGB flat.

It's cute to watch, but never did run all that well,. Unfortunately tonight I managed to launch one of the wheel brushes trying to clean and lube the thing and can't find it, so it's a complete shelf queen till I get it replaced.

Ah, yes.....  The lost brush.  Been there, done that, Mik.....  Suggest you call Lionel service.  Bet they have replacement spring/brush sets available......
