| This is my first film edited with iMovie HD and the first upload to YouTube. I shot it with my Sony still digital camera on the movie setting. The Bachmann K-27 is pulling a short local freight load (all AMS rolling stock, weathered by me as is the locomotive. I shot this on the large scale outdoor layout at the Arizona Model Railroading Society in Glendale Arizona. I tried to make it look as real as possible, but some rookie mistakes crept in. Better luck next time. I hope it meets with your approval. Thanks.

| Great job on the weathering! I haven't seen too many weathered K-27s yet, for as many people who bought them.
Thank you for not panning and zooming! [ ] It made the video oh, so much easier to watch. I'll offer one word of advice for next time: Tripod. Radio Shack sells a rather cool bendable one which is just great for sitting on uneven surfaces.
Post some still shots of your loco when you get a chance. I want to see the weathering in detail. (And forgive me if you have already--just point me in the right direction.)

| They block youtube here, but which version of iMovie are you running? I have made a few movies out of videos, and I really enjoyed the level of control that software gives you.

| EBT - I am actually an old hand at shooting both video and film professionally. I hadn't intended to shoot motion at all, but decided to try it. All I had was my Sony DSC T-9 still camera. It has a video mode, so I tried it. I wasn't planning to enter the film in the Cannes Film Festival, so I just handheld it. I don't think it turned out so bad as it was. The last shot is the worst as I was shooting between my legs! My Spielberg, "what continuity?", shot is also the last one. I shot it with an entirely different set of rolling stock between the loco and crummy.
Mark - I am running iMovie HD 6.0.3 on a Macbook Pro with Leopard (Intel) OS. Why would "they" block YouTube? | | ~ "Never Ask Permission, Only Forgiveness"

| | Nice video. I see little reason for a video camera anymore. My Canon Power SHot made all my youTube videos. What sound system do you have on the K? Sounds good! Jerry | | Life is too short to take seriously. | |

| | Jerry - Actually, I have to confess that the sound you hear was edited together with sounds from Skywalker Sound. I couldn't seem to load the audio I recorded with the video, so I improvised. Next time I will figure it out. I think it sounds good as it is, even though it is "over dubbed". I have a Phoenix system on the K. It sounds hellaciously good chuffing round the bend! | | ~ "Never Ask Permission, Only Forgiveness" | |

| Nice video compilation, and very nice trainset or sets...last continuity consist there Spielberg
I thought for sure the loco was going to smash into the tunnel. It looked too big, as did the caboose.
Fun to watch. Thanks for posting it. Sorry it took me so long to see it. | | Matt Snowshoe & San Juan Model Railroad
