Charles:
Have you figured out how to include photos in messages? I see the "add photo" seems to have disappeared from the create message page. I did notice that Ryan added a photo to one of his messages today....maybe he could help the rest of us understand how to do it under the new scheme?
Regards,
Cliff

Cliff,

 Use this:     {img}   paste the photo URL here like before   {/img}

 However you must use this [ type of bracket not {

if you use the correct brackets with out a photo URL it does not know what to do because you are giving it a executable cammand  with nothing to execute, I think

How about the other commands, like Steamtom 1's Web Page?

That used to display Steamtom 1's Web Page, and when you clicked on, it you would be taken there.

tom, try using the *<* and */>* symbols to do your url. Different forums read different formats.

Thanks Ryan,

I replaced the "[" with "<", and it worked.

You are right, Robb.  The text does not link to anything.

Help, anybody?

hmmm...that's odd, works when you post it in the body of the message, but not the signature of the poster. Bug perhaps?

Sigs use standard HTML, not forum code. It's a little buggy and I've had to f*rt around with mine a little. Tom sent me an email and I sent him the html to do hat he wants. If anyone has a similar problem, send me an EMAIL (NOT a PM as I can't include te code in a PM), and I'll do what I can to help you out.

On my view, there are five icons at the top-right of each post... Delete, Edit, Quote, Reply, Alert. I suspect I can see them on every post since I'm a mod, but you should see the Delete and Edit at the top of your own posts, right?

Thanks Dwight,

Tricky, but it seems to work.  See below.

I leave for DH a week from Saturday.  See you there.

Dwight

I do not see "delete" command on the top right of posts and have asked about the ability to do so as have others.

Okay Charles.  I didn't know if others could see the icons or not.  Haven't heard from Shad as I'm sure right now he's busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest.  I'll try and find out over the next few days.  When I know, you'll know.

Thanks for the command info Jeff....under the previous scheme I had relied on the "insert photo" button on the toolbar. It would be nice to see that button return under the new site...as well as the "center" button...sure made things easy for posting a topic.

That's already in the suggestion box. :)

There is a "center" button on the main Reply page (not the Quick Reply), as well as left-justify, right-justify, bold, underline, italics, font selection, font color, insert hyperlink, and a host of other things. These formatting buttons all work just as in MS Word or your favorite word processor... highlight the text you wish to change, then click the appropriate button, and PRESTO - your highlighted text changes. I encourage all of you to play around with it a little by starting a thread in the Forum Bugs and Testing forum. I think ultimately you'll find it a lot easier! :) I'm still discovering cool new stuff almost hourly.

Dwight you still cannot adjust the double space there or rather I could not find that 'button" to adjust it?

Still struggling with photos too.
