Now that the dollar is getting well. I would like to get some URLs
from folks that sell them. A while back some one had kits for about
$900.

Give Ken Johnson a call.  He's the Regner dealer in the states.  Here's his website;  http://www.traindept.com/   He may even have one in stock.

That's where I got mine.  I bought the kit, rather than RTR.  I've put it together, but I haven't tried to fire it yet.

Slim, the directions are absolutely correct.  The first couple of times fired up it will run very badly, don't be discouraged.  Each time it is run the cylinders will seat better and better and after about 6 times (the directions say 10) it will start up by itself and keep steaming on only about 10 lbs of pressure.  I really enjoy watching mine.                                                                                          Nick Jr

If you are adventurous, you can try this modification of the Lumber Jack (see near the end of the thread):

That is some mod, a Cog RR.  The only thing I did to mine was add a timber and wood steps to the rear.  Also made a wood load from split twigs and replaced the Regner gas filler with a ronson just to keep them all the same.   Nick Jr
