| | I bought a heavily used stationary steam engine and boiler today. The boiler is about 3" in diameter. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy a sight glass assembly? I also want a pressure gauge and a valve that would be usable for a throttle. | |

| | I just received some globe valves from Steam Fittings in the UK. Price was good, postage (to Australia) was reasonable, service was very efficient and the quality exceeded my expectations. Check them out at www.steamfittings.co.uk | | Steam on!

| | I would also use Coles. Their valves and such are beautiful cast bronze and are usually perfectly seated no leaking. I have used Steamfittings and the valves do not seat well. Seems to be all the ones I bought too. | |

| I have used Maidstone Engineering Services (now Maxitrak) in the UK for about 20 years now. They ship by return mail same day. They have sight glasses, pressure gauges and also a nice blower valve which you can use as a regulator, though it would be advisable to perhaps re-profile the cone to give you more control. A highly recommended company to deal with, as well as fair prices. Visa/MC taken. Google their web site.
