| Has anyone attempted to install a bulb or LED in the headlight of their S-12 switcher? If so, where did you put the battery?
There's a conveniently sized box under the cab between the frames, (I suppose) simulating the ash pan, but does that get too hot for a battery?
There's plenty of room in the tender, if one removes the water pump, but then one has to have a connector between tender and loco, so an on-loco battery installation would be simpler. | | | |
