| For all of you who have an Accucraft Garratt and wish to haul some genuine-scale-length passenger cars behind it, the UK company of Garden Railway Specialists in Princes Risborough are about to market a very fine resin kit of the new-style extended wheelbase cars as coming into into service on the Welsh Highland Railway right now. This highly-detailed kit is totally complete except for paint, and has full interior details as well as trucks and couplings.
As yet there is no illustration on-line, although the monthly flyer has one in it.
Please note that these cars are LONG - over two feet, but the Garratts will eventually haul up to six or eight of them on the popular summer excursions.
They are not cheap, at £219.00 each UK price, but that does include our 17.5% sales tax.
I was surprised to learn that GRS will not be attending the Llanfair show this year, but no doubt they have their reasons from missing the largest and best GR show in UK - located less than 200m from the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway...
I'll be buying a set as soon as they come out, and will eventually be posting the build on YoutTube.
