The third annual Smoke On The Water Steamup completed it's first day Friday. The weather cooperated and the day had lots of sunshine and warm weather. Here are a few pictures of Friday's steamers.
Bill and Jane relax in the shade.

John Garrett even ran his Garrett on John Fullers small radius track without a problem.

John Garrett and John Fuller catching up since Diamondhead.

Wayne had many good runs today.

Bob getting his engines ready.

Bob had his new Accucraft American running like a top. Here he is running both the American and Grasshopper at the same time.

This years track marshal.

More to come later today or tomorrow morning of Saturdays steamers.<img src=" border=0>" border=0>

Here is a late entry provided by Bob Winkel that I thought was a great picture.

Fred
Seems like the weather was just right for steam plumes and comfortable unlike our triple H weather here in the Northeast. Really liked the scale comparison between the Aster and the Accucraft on the small track

I brought my Aster GER, (Thomas' friend Gerry, GER for short). After telling everybody how badly GER ran in forward, he made a liar out of me, as this video will attest...

Gerald,
Jim Bowers brought his steamboat, and I've got one also. The wind was pretty good for sailing and that's what was done.
Here is my Clair launch under steam this past winter in Florida.
