| Anybody up to speed on this technology ?? Sure reads like this might be the ultimate battery, or close to it... Lighter in weight than current Lithium batteries, no carbon, so no heating, therefore no fire hazard.. May be charged at up to 80% of rated power, 10 minute charging time, may be recharged up to 18,000 times, a 12 year shelf life, and get this, has 30 to 100 times the storage capacity of today's Lithium technology !!!! And best of all its just "around the corner".... IS this for REAL????? Paul R... | | | |

| Funny, I’ve been looking into this same type of technology for a 7.5” gauge loco. It’s out of my price range right now, but the web site below has info on the technology as well as a “developer’s kit” that includes 6 cells. So far this is the only web site I have been able to find that offers some of these types of batteries. http://www.a123systems.com/#/products/ P.S. could the battery mafia look into this and tell me if this looks like something that would be worth our while? The technical data on the web page is over my head. Joel

| | Let it be on the market for awhile and let the price come down. The Lithium Ions are stabilizing as long as youare using the correct charger and allowing the heat to dissapate. It's like buying the latest model of a new car. With the prestige of owning the latest and greatest comes the price and problems of working the bugs out. ;-) | | GOD BLESS THE USA Ric Golding, Kaskaskia Valley RWY, Carlyle, Illinois

| | Well, I ordered the kit anyway, for another project of mine, so I will be the guinea pig here. | | | |
