Took a trip the the Chicago Botanical Garden yesterday as well. I get some ideas from there and continue to plan the layout in my head. I usually take lots of pictures, but this time I wanted to focus on the plants that needed to be planted. Hope this helps any USDA zone 5 people.

Very nice!

I did a double take the other day:

There was a discussion a couple years ago about how horribly invasive Blue Star Creeper is. Perhaps not, as the Botanic is very careful about invasive species.

Rob,
Thanks for sharing. Susie was very impressed with the vegetation at the Botanic. Because of the approaching storm while we were there, I didn't take nearly as many photos as I would have liked. Your photos will be a good reference for me. Our layout is heavily shaded, as is much of the Botanic's. I have bookmarked your webpage of photos.

Thanks so much for that. I see some plants there I'm going to have find. Love those little signposts identifying the plants -- i need them around my own line since i can never remember what's what.

cheers...pete

hehe People always ask about plants that don't have a little sign. I usually don't know those :D
