It may be a short while until the video finishes processing with YouTube.

As usual, we got snowed on once during the event.  Even though I couldn't be there Wednesday evening, I went to Botanica about 1:30PM to remove the snow and ice from thtrack and benches.   That way, the track had a chance to dry out [in the sun] before regular set up time of 4:30PM.  The last Sunday night of the event, when the temperature dropped to 7F, the club cancelled running trains.

Pretty neat Jim, thanks! Was Santa getting towed, or running on his own?

Santa was running on his own.  He was made by LGB.  Oddly, some nights he would run faster than the mikado.  Other nights the makado would run faster.

On the night we were scheduled to run the "Santa" was marginally slower so we had to "rescue" him every three and a half laps! We were running an Aristo Mallet and all of the little kiddies were glued to the spectacle of Santa pumping away furiously while the big black "Polar Express" roared down on him! We worked last Saturday when the temps were in the 50's. It was a perfect night and the attendance was in the hundreds with the display packed all evening.
