Hello live steamers and large scale railroaders,

last Sunday, I was for a visit on a public running day in Oberursel (Germany) and had the maiden run with my rebuild 2"-scale Forney "Christine". After some troubles in spring, I redesigned some parts on the steamer and added an injector and other thinks. Now, she runs very well and only small work is to be done to get the loco finally finished.

Crossing the pond.

Please ignore the bad looking face on this one... flying sparks are very bad in the eyes ;-)

Resting at the station.

At last, I posted 2 clips on YouTube.

I hope you enjoied the pics and clips.
Regards, Gerd

Gerd, Looks like you have your engine running well. That is a beautiful track you are able to use, the bridge on the pond is very impressive. Where abouts are you ??

Hey Gerd,

I just have one question. In that second video clip, "Who's driving?"

Really nice! Is yours 5" gauge?
I just purchased an OS Koppel tank engine, 1.5" scale to run on 4.75" ga track. Do you know of a source for appropriate or similar scale German style lanterns? Can't find anything like that over here, may have to build my own.:w00t:

Very nice little loco, looks sort of like my Ruby/Forney but I can't ride on mine! Thanks for showing it to us.

Many thanks for your comments.

@Tom : No one is driving in this view... In fact of low pressure and a bad fire, I had to walk beside the train, because this cut is on a grade...

@Ray : Yes it's 5" gauge. But headlights or lanterns in this scale are hard to find. I think it would be the best way to scratch build them.

Last evening, I cleaned up my workshop and I'll start the next project soon. 6 pairs of Disconnects are planed, also 2 more freight cars and a secound caboose.
